3rd Annual Winter Warm Up

Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. is hosting it’s third annual Winter Warm Up presented by Brightview Landscape Services, a four-mile and eight-mile run/walk, held on the Indianapolis Cultural Trail on Saturday, February 25 at 9:00 a.m.  The 4 and 8 mile Winter Warm Up course is entirely on the Cultural Trail and offers runners a scenic view of all 6 distinct Cultural Districts in downtown Indianapolis as the course weaves through areas of the city that are only accessible by foot or bike.  All proceeds support snow and ice removal efforts on the Cultural Trail, which is kept clear all winter...

When I showed up for my first day of work at the Cultural Trail I had 3 co-workers. We were sharing desk space with the Monumental Marathon and DigIN as we began the process of setting up a website for the Pacers Bikeshare program. The 250 gold bikes were en-route to our city and the kiosk locations were being finalized. This was my first job out of college and I was in over my head. PNC Grant to Expand EveryBody Rides Program

Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. received a $12,000 grant from PNC Bank. The grant will expand access for low-income residents to Pacers Bikeshare through ICT, Inc.’s “EveryBody Rides” program. “EveryBody Rides” aims to give EveryBody, regardless of gender, age, race, income-level, shape, and size, access to the gold Pacers Bikeshare bikes in downtown Indianapolis. The program offers low-income residents subsidized passes to Pacers Bikeshare through partnerships with the Indianapolis Housing Agency, Volunteers of America, and other location-based organizations and properties that serve low-income residents and are located in close proximity to the bike share system. Pacers Bikeshare Partners with IU Health to Promote Healthy Lifestyles

A lifestyle change begins with a vision and a single step.- Jeff Calloway, American Olympian  This past weekend Indiana University Health sponsored a Pacers Bikeshare Free day encouraging the community to get outside and ride. Without a doubt, Indy residents and visitors alike heard the message loud and clear and joined in the free day traveling more than 4,000 miles. Two New Stations and Public Input Meetings

Celebrating with new Art on the Trail

In celebration of the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500, a new, temporary art piece has been installed on the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick.  Like by nationally renowned artist Chakaia Booker is located on the Cultural Trail at the Washington and Pennsylvania Street intersection and will be displayed until October 2016.
