We’re hosting Cultural Trail Connections, a gallery show in conjunction with First Friday’s on Friday, October 6, from 7:00pm-10:00pm! Cultural Trail Connections will highlight 10 local artists who have designed new, creative interpretations of the Cultural Trail’s illustrated map, originally created more than 10 years ago.   The gallery show, which is free and open to the public, is an opportunity to view the artists creations and is a silent auction fundraiser for the Cultural Trail gardens. Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. today announced Parkmobile as a new Pacers Bikeshare station sponsor. Pacers Bikeshare: 3 years old & New App

On April 20th, Indianapolis Cultural Trail celebrated the third anniversary of the Pacers Bikeshare program including milestones in year three and two new ways to access Pacers Bikeshare.  Year three statistics include 101,704  bike share trips bringing the total to 326,502 trips and almost 750,000 miles travelled on Pacers Bikeshare since the program launched in 2014. IU Health Presents: Pacers Bikeshare Free Day

Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. announced that there will be free access to Pacers Bikeshare, complements of Indiana University Health, on Saturday, April 22, 2017 in celebration of Pacers Bikeshare’s 3rd Birthday as well as Earth Day. PNC Grant to Expand EveryBody Rides Program

Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. received a $12,000 grant from PNC Bank. The grant will expand access for low-income residents to Pacers Bikeshare through ICT, Inc.’s “EveryBody Rides” program. “EveryBody Rides” aims to give EveryBody, regardless of gender, age, race, income-level, shape, and size, access to the gold Pacers Bikeshare bikes in downtown Indianapolis. The program offers low-income residents subsidized passes to Pacers Bikeshare through partnerships with the Indianapolis Housing Agency, Volunteers of America, and other location-based organizations and properties that serve low-income residents and are located in close proximity to the bike share system. FFA Volunteers on the Cultural Trail

Indianapolis Cultural Trail hosted over 120 FFA volunteers to clean the eight mile Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick during their National Days of Service taking place this week during the FFA Convention in downtown Indianapolis.  FFA volunteers on the Cultural Trail worked on: picking up litter, removing graffiti, cleaning benches, bollards, lights and other Trail materials including Pacers Bikeshare stations. “We’re thrilled to host the FFA volunteers on the Cultural Trail and be a part of the FFA National Days of Service this year”, said ICT, Inc. Two New Stations and Public Input Meetings

Celebrating with new Art on the Trail

In celebration of the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500, a new, temporary art piece has been installed on the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick.  Like by nationally renowned artist Chakaia Booker is located on the Cultural Trail at the Washington and Pennsylvania Street intersection and will be displayed until October 2016. Pacers Bikeshare Celebrates 2 years

April 25, 2016

On April 22nd, 2016, Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. celebrated the second anniversary of the Pacers Bikeshare program and announced the ridership numbers for the second year of operation. Year two milestones include 117,319 trips on the gold bikes which equate to 243,782 miles, or almost 9 times around the globe. Pacers Bikeshare trips increased from year one by almost 10,000 bike rides. Annual Members were responsible for nearly 50% of all of the rides in the second year. Collectively, all of the bikeshare trips in year two resulted in riders burning almost 10 million calories and taking more than 230,000...
