This was a big year for Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. We hosted the first annual Winter Warm Up and over 100 of you ran with us on that frigid day in February, a study by the IU Public Policy Institute was released demonstrating the incredible economic impact of the Trail and Pacers Bikeshare ridership soared to over 190,000 trips!
But the true heroes that rarely receive media frenzy are our hundreds of volunteers that assist in our ongoing efforts to keep the Trail clean, well maintained, and safe for all users! This year the Cultural Trail hosted over 300 volunteers from 22 organizations for a total of 1,900 volunteer hours graciously donated in 2015!
Volunteers picked up litter, swept debris, cleaned benches, scrubbed graffiti, and planted shrubs. Rain or shine, cold or hot, they showed up in record numbers to demonstrate their commitment to a cleaner Trail, a closer community, and a better Indy!
