Pacers Bikeshare Adds Station at OneAmerica Tower

Bikeshare System Grows to 27 Stations

Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. (ICT, Inc.) today announced that it has installed a new Pacers Bikeshare station at OneAmerica Tower, bringing the total number of stations in the system to 27.  The station, the first addition to the program since 2014, was installed as a part of renovations to the OneAmerica Tower and will increase accessibility to the publicly available bikes.

“The new bike share station at OneAmerica Tower is significant as it is the first station added since last summer,” said Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. Executive Director, Kären Haley.  “We are grateful to OneAmerica for helping make Pacers Bikeshare more accessible to our entire community.”

The new station was installed the morning of December 2, 2015 and has capacity for 11 Pacers Bikeshare bikes. As the sponsor of the OneAmerica Tower station, OneAmerica will be recognized on the station and on each of the bikes.

Pacers Bikeshare is accessible by purchasing a 24-hour pass for $8 at a station kiosk. Annual Memberships are available for $80 and available at pacersbikeshare.org.  Usage fees apply for all trips over 30 minutes.

“OneAmerica appreciates the opportunity to participate in this vibrant community project that is great for our employees, our tenants, and our neighbors,” said David Lies, OneAmerica vice president, real estate. “Indiana Pacers Bikeshare builds on our connection and commitment to Downtown.”

ICT, Inc. operates the Indiana Pacers Bikeshare Program 250 bikes and 27 stations, primarily located on or near the eight mile Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick.  The bike share program, which reached 100,000 bike trips in less than a year, started in April 2014.
