150 Buckingham Companies Volunteers on the Trail!

We are thrilled to partner with Buckingham Foundation on an afternoon Trail clean this Earth Day!

More than 150 Buckingham Companies employees from across the country will join Cultural Trail staff on April 22 to clean stormwater planters, spread mulch, prune Rose bushes, and clean Pacers Bikeshare stations. The hard work of these volunteers will make a huge difference in readying the Trail for spring and all of those our walking and rolling on the 8 miles.

The Buckingham group will plant 2040 new plants in the stormwater planters, spread 30 yards of mulch, and remove litter on 2.7 miles of the Trail including Virginia Avenue, Alabama Street, and South Street. After lunch, the group will split into teams to focus on mulching, pruning, and cleaning, and then work hard for 2 hours before celebrating with Sun King beer and music on the Alexander at CityWay plaza.

We can’t thank the amazing team at Buckingham Foundation for partnering with us to keep the Cultural Trail beautiful and clean, accessible, and welcoming for all users!
