We’re excited to announce we’re hosting our Second Annual Cultural Trail Connections Gallery Show in conjunction with First Fridays this Friday, October 5, 2018, 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. at Cultural Trail Headquarters, 132 W. Walnut Street. The second annual Cultural Trail Connections will highlight 12 pieces of art inspired by the Cultural Trail’s permanent public art collection. The gallery show is free and open to the public. Patrons will be able to bid or buy the art in the gallery show. The One Million Calories Campaign challenges the Indianapolis community to burn one million calories using Pacers Bikeshare bikes during the month of August. To kick off the campaign, digital technology company UST Global is providing free access to the bikeshare program on the opening weekend of the campaign, August 1st and 2nd, 2015. On July 23, ICT, Inc. and the IU Public Policy Institute held a press conference to announce and celebrate the many ways, economic and other, that the Indianapolis Cultural Trail has impacted the city. The findings, from a report by the Institute on the initial economic and community impact of the Trail, found that property assessments within one block of the eight-mile Trail have increased 148% since 2008, an increase of $1 billion in assessed property value. Its 4th of July weekend and we’re gearing up here for what is expected to be our busiest weekend yet for Pacers Bikeshare! Last year over 5,000 trips were taken during the week of July 4th weekend with over 1,000 Day Pass users roaming downtown Indianapolis on our 250 gold bikes.
