Glimpses of the Cultural Trail – a virtual gallery show

Photos from the winners of our Spring photography contest

Welcome to our virtual gallery show!

In May we put out the call for Indy’s photographers, professional and amateur, to send us their best 2 photos that capture Spring on the Indy Cultural Trail. More than 20 photographers submitted photos for voting on Facebook. The 5 finalists were invited to participate in a gallery show at Indy Cultural Trail, HQ, and well, COVID (right?!), so, we’re taking the gallery show virtual!

[Tunes to enjoy while you browse]

All photos included below are available to purchase either directly through the artist’s website or by contacting them directly. All artists have agreed to donate a portion of proceeds to the Indianapolis Cultural Trail for ongoing management and maintenance of the space. Thank you in advance for your support of Indy artists and the Trail!

These photos were taken from a perspective of the urge to be free and normal during this season we are living in. COVID-19 has restricted us as humans and has also restricted certain aspects of the plant and animal world as well. The trail itself was bare and un-full of life like normal and so I wanted my photos to clearly represent this time that I’m sure no-one will ever forget.

Purchasing information: 8×10 w/out frame: $60, 8×10 w/ frame: $100 Willing to discuss larger size pricing w/or w/out frame.

Gant Haverstick

I am a video editor by trade but, in my spare time, an incurable shutterbug!  I often find myself randomly wandering historic districts, parks, and the like looking for things that catch my eye.  My work has been included in exhibitions at The Birdie Gallery, Gallery 924, the Garfield Park Arts Center, Ignite Studio at Hamilton East Public Library, Nickel Plate Arts, the Sierra Club, and the Sugar Creek Art Center among others.  I hope you enjoy looking at these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
