Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. today announced Parkmobile as a new Pacers Bikeshare station sponsor. Parkmobile is sponsoring the Massachusetts Ave and College Avenue Pacers Bikeshare station, one of the newest stations in the system.
“Parkmobile is an innovative technology company who is helping make Indianapolis a smarter, more mobile city. Both the Parkmobile app and our mobile app for Pacers Bikeshare called BCycle, are helping make transportation and mobility options accessible for everyone in our city,” said Indianapolis Cultural Trail executive director, Kären Haley. “I’m thrilled with our new partnership and welcome Parkmobile as our newest Pacers Bikeshare station sponsor.”
The BCycle app, launched this spring, allows Pacers Bikeshare users to see in real time the bike and dock availability for each of the 29 Pacers Bikeshare stations. It also allows bike share users to check out bikes directly via the phone as well as see trip summaries and their bike share history. Users can also report bike and dock issues directly through the BCycle app which is available for both Apple and Android operating systems.
“Parkmobile has been the mobile payments provider for the city of Indianapolis since 2011, including numerous private operators around the city. We want to continue working with and support the city’s smart city and transportation initiatives. We are honored to support the Pacers Bikeshare program in Indianapolis,” said Jon Ziglar, CEO Parkmoble.
The Massachusetts and College Avenue Pacers Bikeshare station is located on the northwest corner of the intersection, directly across the street from the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick. The station was installed in the fall of 2016.
Pacers Bikeshare 24 hour passes are available for $8 through the BCycle app and at each of 29 Pacers Bikeshare station kiosks. $80 annual passes and $15 monthly passes may be purchased in the BCycle app or online at PacersBikeshare.org.
